Aidan O’Brien from EDMO Ireland recently took part in a panel discussion at the Freelance Forum Autumn 2026, held in Dublin.
The Freelance Forum is a regular one-day event designed to keep freelance journalists up to date with the latest developments in their industry. Aimed at working journalists, photographers and PR practitioners, as well as those hoping to work in journalism, the event is organised by the Dublin Freelance NUJ branch with support from Coimisiún na Meán.
Aidan was joined on the panel by freelance journalists Liz Carolan and Stephanie Costello for a discussion titled “Disinformation, Misinformation, Malinformation: Deciphering fact from fiction and identifying bad faith messaging.” The session explored the distinctions between different types of information disorder and offered practical approaches for journalists working to identify reliable sources.
The Freelance Forum continues to provide a valuable space for freelancers to sharpen their skills and stay informed on the issues shaping the media landscape.
