Debunked: No evidence a woman was drugged with a doused business card in Co Derry
A viral voice note claimed a woman in Co Derry was drugged after accepting a business card from a group described as “foreign nationals”. The fact-check found no evidence that the incident occurred, with police confirming they received no formal report and subsequent enquiries failed to substantiate the claims. The article also noted that similar “drugged business card” stories have circulated internationally for years as urban legends and are often used to fuel fear and suspicion towards migrant communities.
