Factchecking organisations call on Youtube CEO to take action against disinformation

Over 80 factchecking organisations, including EDMO Ireland partner TheJournal.ie, have signed an open letter to Youtube CEO Susan Wojcicki based on the platform being “one of the major conduits of online disinformation and misinformation worldwide”The open letter also claims that Youtube is “allowing its platform to be weaponized by unscrupulous actors to manipulate and exploit others, and to organize and fundraise themselves”.
