As part of EDMO’s Be Online Smart campaign, EDMO Ireland delivered a talk in Ballymun Library. Be Online Smart explores how algorithms shape our online experience—from the news we read to the videos we watch.

The talk was one of four media literacy sessions delivered by EDMO Ireland’s Eileen Culloty and Shane Murphy, organised through DCU in the Community and the Northside Dublin Partnership.

The Be Online Smart session focused on the concept of the attention economy, platform design, and the role of advertising in shaping what we see online.

Attendees left with Be Online Smart postcards and QR codes to access further resources and practical tips for navigating digital platforms more consciously.
