{"id":1271,"date":"2025-05-28T07:25:40","date_gmt":"2025-05-28T07:25:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/edmohub.ie\/?p=1271"},"modified":"2025-05-28T07:34:05","modified_gmt":"2025-05-28T07:34:05","slug":"be-online-smart-campaign-engages-irish-librarians","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/edmohub.ie\/index.php\/be-online-smart-campaign-engages-irish-librarians\/","title":{"rendered":"Be Online Smart Campaign Engages Irish Librarians"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <em>Be Online Smart<\/em> campaign continues to raise awareness about the impact of recommendation algorithms on our online experience.  <em>Be Online Smart<\/em> is an initiative by the European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO) and its network of 14 national hubs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Tuesday, Dublin City University (DCU) introduced the campaign to participants in a media literacy workshop for librarians. The session also highlighted EDMO\u2019s guidelines for effective media literacy.
