{"id":833,"date":"2024-11-16T11:29:56","date_gmt":"2024-11-16T11:29:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/edmohub.ie\/?page_id=833"},"modified":"2024-12-05T17:27:09","modified_gmt":"2024-12-05T17:27:09","slug":"tools","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/edmohub.ie\/index.php\/tools\/","title":{"rendered":"Tools"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Our partner NewsWhip provides&nbsp;content intelligence tools to provide monitor and track the media in real time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-medium-font-size\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newswhip.com\/spike-real-time-media-monitoring\/\">NewsWhip Spike<\/a> <\/strong>is a media monitoring platform that contextualises online media in real time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-medium-font-size\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newswhip.com\/newswhip-analytics\/\">NewsWhip Analytics<\/a> <\/strong>provides understanding of how the public engage with any topic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-medium-font-size\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newswhip.com\/newswhip-api\/\">NewsWhip API<\/a><\/strong> gives users access to unique data that they can customise to their exact needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Under the first phase of EU funding, the University of Sheffield was a member of the EDMO Ireland consortium. It developed the following tools for factchecking and analysis:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cloud.gate.ac.uk\/shopfront\/displayItem\/url-domain-analysis\"><strong>Domain Analysis Plugin<\/strong>:<\/a> An application that annotates URLs within a document, then assigns to each information on what multiple organisations who analyse the credibility of online content have said about the domain (or sometimes, domain path) in the URL.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-medium-font-size\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cloud.gate.ac.uk\/shopfront\/displayItem\/stance-edmo-ireland\">Stance classifier<\/a><\/strong>: An application that classifies the stance of a reply to a rumour-introducing source tweet. The classifier is trained to adapt to the rumours and topics that are of interest to Irish citizens and stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-medium-font-size\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cloud.gate.ac.uk\/shopfront\/displayItem\/url-domain-analysis\">News Article Framing Classifier<\/a><\/strong>: A news article can address a story from a number of different perspectives or &#8220;frames&#8221;. This service is able to identify the main frames used in a particular article; it is a multilingual classifier capable of processing <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/google-research\/bert\/blob\/master\/multilingual.md#list-of-languages\">104 languages<\/a>, but it will perform the best on the six languages on which it was trained: English, French, German, Italian, Polish and Russian.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-medium-font-size\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cloud.gate.ac.uk\/shopfront\/displayItem\/anglo-irish-politics\"><strong>Irish Politics Monitor<\/strong>:<\/a> This service is designed to enrich text with entities related to Anglo-Irish politics.
