EDMO is based at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. EDMO’s work is implemented by an Executive Board<\/a>, which coordinates the activities of the EDMO Network. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
What is the EDMO Network?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Each EDMO hub is part-financed by the European Union to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- analyse disinformation trends; <\/li>\n\n\n\n
- conduct factchecks and investigations; <\/li>\n\n\n\n
- develop media literacy resources; and <\/li>\n\n\n\n
- assess and inform policy. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

What is EDMO Ireland?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
EDMO Ireland is coordinated by Dr Eileen Culloty at Dublin City University (DCU). The EDMO Ireland consortium has three members: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

- TheJournal FactCheck<\/strong>: TheJournal’s FactCheck unit was established in 2016 and, since 2017, is the only verified Irish signatory of the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) Code of Principles<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
